ABOUT OUR CLUB

For 25 years Kiwanis of Holly Lake Ranch, Big Sandy has been serving the Kiwanis mission of improving the world one child and one community at a time. We do that through popular annual fundraisers like our American Flag Program, the Kiwanis Golf Tournament, the Annual Chili Cookoff, and the 4th of July Hot Dog Sales.

Our club is heavily involved in our community. Here are just some of the activities that Kiwanians have participated in this year.

  • Halloween Fall Festival
  • Hawkins School Field Day
  • Hawkins Oil Festival Parade
  • Hawkins School Duct Tape Boat Race
  • Kiwanis volunteers sort and pack food boxes at the East Texas Food Bank
  • Help the Holly Lake Ranch Kayak Klub with their Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup
  • Kiwanis donates to the annual Holly Brook Baptist Church Night To Shine event
  • Kiwanis hosts the Christmas for Kids Event the day after Thanksgiving at Holly Hall

Scholarships

Helping Local Students

The Holly Lake Ranch Club has successful programs that work to help develop our future leaders.

  • Circle K International is a Kiwanis Service Leadership Program (SLP) at Jarvis Christian University in Hawkins that is a student-led organization who’s mission is to develop college and university students into a global network of responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to service.
  • The Reading Program at Hawkins Elementary School for pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students is a successful youth mentoring program. Kiwanis volunteers go to the school each week to read books to the students.
  • Bring Up Grades (BUG) is a program at Hawkins Elementary School that recognizes 3rd grade students who raise their grades or maintain good grades from one grading period to the next.
